Setting Sail (Port Blue) by Owl City (by Paul Steenbergen)
But honestly the coolest and most impressive part is that they are playing drums together. Totally in sync. I love that.
i didn’t know there were port blue concerts
not a port blue concert, this was all things bright and beautiful tour. i remember this form his set:)
mainstream taylor swift songs are all about 2am but “Last Kiss” is like a hipster because it’s 1:58
Jay-Z: Look, Blue. Everything the light touches is our kingdom.
Blue: What about the shadowy part?
Jay-Z: That’s country music. You must never go there.

I love those shows too!!!
Today was pretty boring, just work. But yesterday I went out to eat with 2 of my best guy friends to a sports bar, it was fun. Then I made them listen to Blank Space on the car ride home on full blast, after that I gave them permission to change the radio station (not even my car lol). I think that’s pretty fair considering I was extremely lost during the football games they had going on in the sports bar. Ha.
How about you?
I don’t have food stamps but I need to know how to eat well for $4/day. Thank you for this.
HOLY SHIT
“I beg young people to travel. If you don’t have a passport, get one. Take a summer, get a backpack and go to Delhi, go to Saigon, go to Bangkok, go to Kenya. Have your mind blown. Eat interesting food. Dig some interesting people. Have an adventure. Be careful. Come back and you’re going to see your country differently, you’re going to see your president differently, no matter who it is. Music, culture, food, water. Your showers will become shorter. You’re going to get a sense of what globalization looks like. It’s not what Tom Friedman writes about; I’m sorry. You’re going to see that global climate change is very real. And that for some people, their day consists of walking 12 miles for four buckets of water. And so there are lessons that you can’t get out of a book that are waiting for you at the other end of that flight. A lot of people-Americans and Europeans-come back and go, Ohhhhh. And the light bulb goes on.”

does anyone else secretly have that “i liked it before it was cool” complex but wont admit it
it’s more along the lines of “you guys were fucking making fun of me for liking this before it was cool” kinda complex
Also a “I super excitedly tried to show this to you years ago and you brushed it off and now you think you introduced it to me and that is infuriating” kinda complex
Not to mention the whole “I tried to show you a thing but you shrugged it off but when someone else introduces you to the same thing you’re suddenly interested in the thing”
I think, in getting to know her more and more, she surrounds herself with great people. She kind of curates an environment of people who genuinely care about the friendship, the community, and being positive. You meet a lot of people who aren’t so great in this business, that have had different intentions, but it seems to me all the people she keeps in her circle are cool. And cool with each other.
